Davidson County is the county in which Nashville is located. If you are getting married in Nashville or Davidson County, you do not have to get your marriage license in the county. As long as it is a Tennessee marriage license, you can get it anywhere in the state and use it anywhere in the state.

So even if you are getting married in or around Nashville, if it is more convenient, you can get your marriage license in another county.
